Isomalt, sometimes spelled Isomalt, is a sugar-based product that can be used to create designs imitating glass, diamonds or precious stones. It can be used in silicone moulds or worked by hand, just like glass. You must wear gloves and use metal tools.

Instructions for use: Isomalt melts at 180 degrees Celsius. It can be used as it is, or gel colourings can be added to create coloured decorations. Measure out the desired quantity and place it in the silicone mould to melt in the microwave, or in a metal pan directly on the hob. Once melted, stir gently. Melted and unused isomalt can be remelted up to a maximum of three times.
